Owning a dog is a commitment that involves a great deal of time and effort, but also one that gives you plenty of excitement and enjoyment in return. A dog is more than just a pet; it’s a member of the family – and a loyal friend – and deserves to be treated as such. That’s why we reckon you should look at dog-friendly holiday destinations, so you can enjoy your best friend’s company even when you take a much-needed break! The fun of having your dog with you is something that you cannot miss, and we recently took our cockapoo – Luna – to a beautiful cottage in a fantastic spot that was just perfect for her.

One thing we were concerned about was leaving the dog alone in a strange house, but we did so on two occasions – to enjoy an excellent meal and evening out locally – with no problems. We reckoned the endless play she had enjoyed all day had tired her out, and she was fast asleep when we managed to look in the window on the way back! Of course, when we were in she whined a little, so we let her sleep on the bed – something we never do at home!

Perfect Holiday

All in all, I can safely say this really was the perfect holiday and made all the more so by having Luna with us. She’s such a large part of our life, after all, so taking her on holiday made sense. The cottage was perfect, the location beautiful, and the surrounding area full of interesting and fun things to see and do, so make sure you check out dog-friendly cottages, and we can strongly recommend you consider Lincolnshire for the best of all worlds.
